The Internet.
Something once seen only in research facilities or
high-scale business centers, now a household amenity. And it’s not just an
amenity anymore, but something we, as a society, are almost dependent on – a
source of constant connectivity.
It provides us with the programs necessary to create and
share an array of products and services for all audiences, the ability to
communicate across the globe in real time, and instant access to an essentially
endless well of information and data.
Although we all know that most of us use it simply to kick back and
relax with our favorite Netflix series.
As with most things in life, however, the Internet has a dark side. With this new global
community comes a new set of potential dangers: cyber crime.
Whether for yourself, someone who grew up in the dark ages
before the Internet was at the finger tips of an entire population, or for your
children, who are growing up immersed in this new digital age, it’s important
to learn how to be safe while using the Internet.
What Is Cyber Crime?
Cyber crime can take two main forms:
- Crimes which are directed at computers or other electronic devices

Types of Cyber Crime

present several Internet related crimes. Some of the most commonly committed
cyber crimes include:
●
