Are you looking for a little garden inspiration? Want projects that are creative, yet are simple and easy enough to tackle in a day? Well luckily Miracle-Gro has got you covered with The Gro Project, a collection of gardening projects that will inspire you with photos and step-by-step instructions so that you can easily tackle these fun garden projects simply and in as little time as possible!
My favorite Gro Project idea from Miracle-Gro is one that you can get the kids involved with and is about creating a Toyrarium, basically a fun play on to a terrarium, except this one of course involves toys! For this project you will need the following items:
* Fishbowl or other glass container
* Succulent plants such as cactus or aloes
* Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix
* A few of your child's favorite plastic toys or figurines
* Some rocks
* Spoon
Steps to Create Your Toyrarium:
1) Start by covering the bottom of your container with a layer of rocks.
2) Next, fill the container 1/3 of the way full with your Moisture Control Potting Mix.
3) Use the spoon to plant your succulents.
4) Position your plastic toys and/or figurines to set the scenerary and lightly water, but be careful at this point not to overwater! From here on out be sure to only lightly mist when the enviorment starts to get too dry.
5) Congratulations! You just created a Toyrarium!
